Ahh, I'll be honest here. I haven't been a Gackt fan for all that long. 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Almost a month, I guess. Yeah, I admit, I was an obsessive, shrieking, squealing, picture crazed fangirl. Don't get me wrong though, I still am picture crazed. But, it's not the amount of CDs/Commercials/DVDs/whatever it is that we fans have come to worship, that makes us fans. It's the respect and admirationg we have for not only their looks (although he is freakin' gorgeous), but for their music. Yeah, music, now I'm going into my whole 'I'm too emotional about his music'. But I am. And I'm sure other people are too. His music, his voice AND the instrumental background come together so well. I have a thing for his slow songs. They always make me cry, after I understand what the hell he's saying through the lyric translations. o_o;;. What I don't like is when I say 'I don't like this song by Gackt', some people would be like, OH MY GAD! WHAT KIND OF FAN ARE YOU? YOU BETRAYING PERSON! HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT?!

Whoa. Just, stop. Because I don't like a certain song, does not make me hate him or something. I'm sure someone here also doesn't like at least ONE of his songs or something like that. I'm not being like, an 'untrue Gackt fan'. Though, there aren't specific qualifications and rules before you are a fully fledged GACKT FAN. I don't see people with a little button on their chest that says Gackt Fan, so I'm assuming that I can take the privilege to guess that THERE IS NO SUCH THING. People, relax! Maybe it's just me, I'm a little picky with music sometimes. It's honestly pathetic, how some 'fans' can suddenly over react when you say ONE thing about Gackt that you DON'T like. They get all freaked out and start yelling at you and stuff like we're all going to die from global warming like 'The Day After Tomorrow' or something. No. People. No.

Another thing about certain 'fans' is that they don't even LISTEN to his music. There are always those certain assholes that come up to you and go 'Hey, are you a Gackt fan? I love Gackt! He's so hot! Oh my gad, he's so freaking sexy!'. When you ask them what's their favourite song, they say something like 'Who cares about his songs? I just like his looks!' O_O! O_O! O_O! And you call yourself a GACKT FAN? Hullo! He's a MUSICIAN. That's actually really offensive! He's not a model, although he does look very yummy in photo shoots, HE'S STILL A SINGER. Music is his passion, it's his career, it's HIM. How can you just like someone plainly for their looks? Famous or not, it makes you really shallow.

Like, after you let them listen to one or two songs, they get all like 'EW! HIS VOICE IS SO LOW' or something, but they still go 'I'M A GACKT FAN!'. I mean, I know there aren't certain aspects of you that MAKE you a Gackt fan or anything, but still...that's kind of pointless. But that's just my opinion.

Possessive fans. They tend to bug me, a lot. They act as if they OWN Gackt! It's like, you say Gackt's name, and they get all like 'DID YOU SAY MY TO BE HUSBAND'S NAME? HUH?'. Uh. a) he won't be your husband, you haven't even met him yet. b) Don't assume and be a concieted jerk, no one likes that. c) You don't know own him, it's a free country. There are a lot of Gackt fans who probably obsess over him as much as you do anyway.

Maybe I don't have the authority to say all this, since I've only become a Gackt fan for so long. All I am saying is that you really can't call yourself a fan if you don't support that person and love everything about them; looks, music, acting, whatever. It doesn't matter how many music videos you've seen or the fact that you've memorized all the lyrics. If you don't support and love everything about them, then it doesn't really count. It doesn't matter if it's a celebrity, a superhero, a family friend or a book,
